A natural, organic soil amendment that improves moisture retention, aeration, and structure—ideal for seed starting, potting mixes, and enriching poor soils.
Sourced from a group of family-owned and operated companies in Down East Maine.
Screened Loam is your basic soil with no added nutrients. It can be used for garden beds and lawns. Our loam is screened to 3/4", thus there is a chance of smaller rocks and sticks being present in the soil.
A 75/25 blend of screened loam and our own compost and peat mixture. It's great for growing grass, adding nutrients to existing soil, and planting new garden beds.
Please note our loam is screened to 3/4", thus there is a chance of smaller rocks and sticks being present in the soil. These are beneficial as rocks and sticks help maintain soil moisture.
Tailings are a byproduct of our screened loam and are most commonly used as fill. This fill contains rocks and sticks that are approximately 3/4" or larger along with some dirt. We suggest using tailings to fill in large areas and then top the area with your choice of aggregate.
