At York Woods, we believe that strong communities take care of one another.
Every day, children throughout York County go home uncertain if there will be enough food to get them through the weekend, school vacation, or holiday break. While many of us are packing lunches and planning family dinners, some local children are simply hoping for an easy meal, a snack, or a full pantry waiting for them at home.
That's where Youth Full Maine comes in.
Since 2019, Youth Full Maine has worked tirelessly to combat food insecurity by providing nourishing food through school pantries, community distributions, and programs that support children and families across York County. Today, they serve students in dozens of schools throughout our region because hunger doesn't take weekends off—and neither do they.
Touch-A-Truck: Big Trucks. Big Hearts. is more than a day of climbing into excavators and honking truck horns. It's an opportunity for our community to come together and help ensure that local children have access to the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Event Details
Where to Park?
Free parking at National Wrecker located across the street from York Woods Tree.
To make room for even more BIG trucks and equipment at the event, parking will not be available on the York Woods property.
National Wrecker will provide complimentary shuttle service throughout the day, bringing guests safely back and forth between the parking area and York Woods.
Eliot Police will be present throughout the event to assist with safe crossing of Route 236.
Please follow event signage and the direction of our parking and shuttle teams when you arrive.

Face Painting
Mrs. Face Painting returns to Touch-A-Truck to bring smiles and colorful creations to children of all ages! Whether your little one wants to become a tiger, butterfly, construction worker, or superhero, her incredible artistry is always a highlight of the day. Be sure to stop by and add a little extra fun to your Touch-A-Truck adventure.

Hard Hat Giveaway
The first 250 children in attendance will receive a FREE York Woods hard hat to commemorate the day! Young truck enthusiasts can gear up like the pros as they explore heavy equipment, climb aboard vehicles, and imagine themselves behind the wheel one day. Supplies are limited, so be sure to arrive early to secure your York Woods safety gear!

Community Raffle
Support a great cause while taking a chance to win! Throughout the day, guests can participate in our community raffle featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters. All raffle proceeds directly benefit Youth Full Maine, helping provide meals, snacks, and essential food assistance to children throughout York County.
Guests who bring an approved donation (new, not expired) for Youth Full Maine will receive a complimentary raffle ticket as our way of saying thank you for helping make a difference.

National Wrecker
National Wrecker is coming back in a BIG way!
We're excited to welcome them back to Touch-A-Truck this year — and they're bringing more than just one of their impressive wreckers.
National Wrecker will be providing parking and shuttle services during the event, helping families get to and from the action safely and easily. They'll also be bringing back one of their wreckers, complete with the giant American flag that was a favorite last year.
Rub-A-Dub
Get ready for some squeaky-clean fun! Returning this year, Rub-A-Dub will be joining our Touch-A-Truck lineup with one of their impressive cleaning trucks.
A locally owned company specializing in residential and commercial cleaning services throughout Southern Maine, Rub A Dub is known for bringing plenty of excitement wherever they go. Last year, they quickly became a fan favorite with their bubble machine, interactive display, and a friendly team member dressed as a shark who kept kids smiling all day long!
Lauren Cultrera Lowe
We're bringing something a little different to Touch-A-Truck this year — our very first dragster!
Lauren works right here in Eliot at Eastern VP Fuel Sales and races a 2004 dragster, primarily at New England Dragway in Epping, NH. Before becoming a mom of three daughters, she traveled all over the country racing — and she's gone over 200 mph in just under 7 seconds!
Barry Equipment
We're excited to welcome Barry Equipment, one of York Woods' main equipment dealers, to Touch-A-Truck!
Barry Equipment will be bringing a tractor with a low-bed trailer loaded with equipment for kids and equipment enthusiasts to check out up close.
Pike Industries (Eliot)
We're excited to welcome our local Pike Industries to Touch-A-Truck!
Pike is bringing something BIG to this year's event — a huge haul truck that you won't want to miss. Kids (and plenty of adults!) will get the chance to see one of these massive machines up close and get a look at the equipment used to move some serious material.
Eliot Fire Department
We're proud to welcome back our Eliot Fire Department to Touch-A-Truck!
They'll be bringing one of their fire engines for kids and families to see up close. Climb in, check out the equipment, meet some of the firefighters who help keep our community safe, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to operate a fire engine.
1981 Mustang - Paul Stoddard
Get ready for a little horsepower with a side of highway patrol!
Paul Stoddard is bringing his 1981 Ford Mustang, but this isn't your average classic Mustang. Under the hood is an 800-horsepower engine that can cover the 1/8-mile in just 5.70 seconds at 120 MPH!
And if the car looks a little familiar, there's a reason — it's currently styled to look like an early-1980s California Highway Patrol car.
Mark Alden
We're adding some serious style to this year's lineup with a 2020 Camaro featuring custom Lambo doors and a custom interior.
And there's one more thing...The owner is adding something special just for Touch-A-Truck, but they're keeping it a surprise until event day!
Beaulieu Logging
We're bringing a little Maine logging power to Touch-A-Truck!
Boulieau Logging will be joining us with a double-bogie skidder — a serious piece of logging equipment built to handle some seriously tough terrain.
Whited Peterbilt
We're excited to welcome Peterbilt to Touch-A-Truck — and they're bringing a little mystery with them!
Because trucks are constantly moving around the region, even Peterbilt isn't quite sure which trucks will make the trip to York Woods. We're expecting at least one dump truck and one tractor, but we'll have to wait until October 10 to see exactly what rolls in!
And there's a little more to look forward to... One of the trucks may even be sporting some special MIKE's colors!

Northeast Home Detailing is a locally owned, owner-operated landscaping and property maintenance company proudly serving Southern Maine and the New Hampshire Seacoast.

Passport Transport
Passport Transport will be joining us with one of their large enclosed auto transport trucks. Passport has been transporting vehicles across the country since 1970, specializing in enclosed transportation designed to safely move everything from everyday vehicles to classic, exotic, and high-end cars.
But the truck isn't the only special guest coming to York Woods...
The Passport driver will be joined by his four-legged co-pilot, Casper! If his reputation is anything to go by, Casper may just be one of the best-behaved dogs at Touch-A-Truck.
